Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte has reportedly agreed personal terms with Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr.

Laporte has made 180 competitive appearances since joining Pep Guardiola’s side from Athletic Bilbao in January 2018.

The defender has helped the Citizens win multiple honours, including five Premier League titles and the Champions League, but his time with the club appears to be nearing its conclusion.

After slipping down the Man City hierarchy last season, Laporte has been linked with moves away throughout the summer transfer window.

During the club’s illustrious treble-winning season, Guardiola favored using players like John Stones, Nathan Ake, Ruben Dias, Manuel Akanji, and Nathan Ake.

Josko Gvardiol, a defender from Croatia, was acquired by RB Leipzig, making Laporte at the Etihad Stadium practically surplus to needs.

According to a recent source, the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr made the Spaniard available for transfer, and the Citizens accepted the offer.

According to talkSPORT, Laporte has now reached an agreement with Al-Nassr over a lucrative three-year contract worth £64m.

The Daily Mail reports that Laporte will depart for Saudi Arabia on Monday to complete his £23.5 million transfer.

The Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia owns four Saudi clubs, including Al-Nassr, and has previously signed Sadio Mane, Seko Fofana, Marcelo Brozovic, and Alex Telles.

The former Real Madrid and Manchester United player Cristiano Ronaldo, who moved to the Middle East earlier this year, will team up with the Spain international as well.
