According to 90min, Kyle Walker, a defender for England, has received a new contract offer from Manchester City in an effort to keep him with the team this summer.

Walker is in the final year of his contract and has attracted Bayern Munich’s attention. The German club needs a new right-back because Benjamin Pavard wants to leave the Allianz Arena.

The 33-year-old has not yet decided what he will do with his life. Walker is believed to have been wounded by not being included in the starting lineup for the Champions League final, which raised doubts about whether he would still be playing for Manchester.

Walker needs to decide quickly, and Man City is hoping that the seasoned defender decides to stay. According to sources who spoke to 90min, the triple winners have made Walker an offer for a new contract in an effort to demonstrate their continued support for him.

Walker may choose to pursue an exit, in which case City will not obstruct him and will be open to suggestions.

Walker is the primary candidate for the right-back position at Bayern, but the Bundesliga powerhouses have not completely ruled out making another bid for fellow City player Joao Cancelo, who has spent the last six months on loan in Bavaria.

There is also interest in Walker from Saudi Arabia but the former Tottenham man believes a move to the Middle East could harm his chances of starting for England at Euro 2024.

Elsewhere, City have agreed terms with Southampton over the sale of 19-year-old midfielder Shea Charles, who is expected to move to St Mary’s for around £10m. The Northern Ireland international made his senior debut off the bench in City’s final Premier League game of the season against Brentford.

Southampton have also expressed an interest in signing Premier League 2 player of the year Carlos Borges on loan and City are open to a temporary move for the 19-year-old winger, who also has interest from France, Germany and Portugal.
