Dean Schneider started a new life in South Africa, where he cared for and protected many wild animals such as lions and hyenas. The boy said he was not afraid, on the contrary he loved them very much.
- Dean Schneider is a famous guy on social networks thanks to the story of selling the company, leaving his own career to Africa, putting all the accumulated money to build a wildlife conservation center. The boy from Switzerland has a love for animals since childhood and is fascinated by ferocious species such as hyenas, lions, and leopards.

Before deciding to turn his life in a different direction, Dean worked as a financial advisor with a considerable income. Until he arrived in South Africa to travel, witnessed first-hand the scene of wild animals living, the affection for them grew in the heart of the 27-year-old boy. Not long after returning home, he chose to return to South Africa and start a new life here.
“At first, none of my family and friends supported me, but seeing me as resolute and determined, they eventually accepted,” Dean said. In South Africa, the guy founded a project called Hakuna Mipaka, which means “Unlimited”. All the money saved is used to operate the 400-hectare reserve, where many wild animals are rescued from poachers, and circuses often force the animals to perform for entertainment.
Animals in the sanctuary are not forced to breed, nor are they traded or performed for money. In addition, each animal is periodically checked by a veterinarian. Thanks to the love of their owners, most of them are free to run around, instead of being kept in cramped cages.
Dean’s daily job is to check and spend time playing with the lions. The boy said this is his favorite animal. To get to know and become their friend, Dean often gets close to the lions when they are still young. In addition, he spends time observing and learning the behavior of this species.

For the first two years, Dean’s conservation center operated on all the money he had accumulated. Then, to cover operating costs, Dean established a fund to raise money, mobilizing people to join hands to protect many animals that are at risk of extinction due to rampant poaching.
At the age of 27, the Swiss guy is completely satisfied with his current life. “My mission is to bring love for animals to everyone’s heart. I believe my efforts will help wildlife continue to live on this Earth,” Dean wrote in the introduction on the project website.
On his personal page, he often shows photos of himself playing and getting close to many different animals in the reserve. Although he was once scratched by a lion while playing with them, Dean said that he was not afraid because of that, and did not approach them anymore. Even carrying a gun for self-defense, Dean found it unnecessary.
