Of course, the engine is the centerpiece of any muscle car, and we’re using Harley-Davidson’s long-standing relationship with Ford as inspiration for what’s under the hood. Forming a partnership in the year 2000, the previous Blue Oval and Harley collaborations have largely been on the F-150 pickup truck. Engine options ranged from middling V6s to the supercharged 5.4-liter V8 from the SVT Lightning back in 2007.

While an upgraded Coyote V8 or supercharged Predator engine might be the obvious choice, this bespoke truck is going a bit left field with its choice of motors. Considering the Australian Ute inspiration and the Harley-Ford connection, the base engine for this Harley Truck comes from Ford Australia in the form of a turbocharged 4.0-liter Ford Barra inline-six, used in the FG-X Ford Falcon XR6 sprint.

In standard XR6 sprint trim, the Barra turbo motor produces 436 hp and 425 lb-ft of torque. However, the Barra motor hasn’t seen an update since 2016, and so, with the addition of an upgraded Garrett turbocharger, stronger internals, and an ECU running more boost, power figures could easily hit the 500 hp mark, with torque rolling up to 480 lb-ft. That would definitely give the upcoming Dodge Hurricane Inline-six something to think about.

That said, Ford remains the last muscle car manufacturer to offer a V8 in 2024, and so we would be remiss if we didn’t provide that option, too. However, old school is the name of the game here and a pushrod V8 seems fitting for this muscle car pickup. As such, this Harley also has the option of a 7.3-liter Godzilla V8 with a 2.4-liter Whipple supercharger, producing 675 hp and 660 lb-ft of torque. For both motors, power goes to the rear wheels via a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission with a limited-slip differential.
