Veteran filmmaker Antoine Fuqua purchased a brand-new contemporary farmhouse in Hidden Hills following the Oscars slp scandal.
Property records show that Fuqua and his wife, “Waiting to Exhale” actress Lela Rochon, paid $10.8 mιllιon for the 2017 house.
The 57-year-old native of Pittsburgh, who directed the 1995 “Gangsta’s Paradise” music video for rapper Coolio, has established himself as one of Hollywood’s most productive filmmakers. “Legacy: The True Story of the LA Lakers,” his most recent endeavor, will debut on Hulu on August 15.
Additionally, the in-demand director will provide more. Last year, Fuqua inked big TV and movie development agreements with Paramount and Netflix.
The Fuqua estate, which was just purchased, has 9,000 square feet of open-concept living space with high ceilings and white oak floors. It includes six bedrooms and nine bathrooms. Sliding glass doors and large picture windows with iron frames provide seamless indoor-outdoor areas.
The 1.2-acre property’s two-story wood and stone home has a hidden four-car garage, a white picket fence, a circular driveway, and a view of state-owned parks. The foyer features a staircase with curved iron railings, a chandelier, and a double-height ceiling.
The family room, informal dining space, and gourmet kitchen with a sizable eat-in island, large refrigerator, and pricey La Cornue stove are all located on the main floor from there. There is also an office, a formal living and dining room, and a chic screening room with a wet bar and a substantial linear fireplace.
Four ensuite bedrooms, including a master suite with a fireplace, mini-bar, private balcony, and two walk-in closets, are located on the second level.
The bathroom contains a steam shower, a large oval soaking tub, and dual vanities. At the back are a pool, jacuzzi, and covered living space with a fireplace, BBQ, and fire pit.
A grassy play area, a two-stall barn, and equestrian paths are all features of the property. It also boasts a detached poolhouse with a kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom.
