He’s played a mutant hero and is about to star as a fairytale villain, and even during his time off Hugh Jackman loves to play the action man.

The 46-year-old enjoyed a day on the water during his Hawaii holiday on Friday.

Slipping on some flippers and a rashguard top, the Wolverine star snorkelled as he made the most of his family trip with wife Deborra-Lee Furness and children Oscar and Ava.

After setting sail on the Pacific Ocean with his teenage son Oscar, Hugh hit the water in his blue flippers and snorkel mask.

Showing off his biceps in a blue and black Rip Curl rashguard top paired with some long shorts, the star seemed to take awhile to get to grips with his equipment, stumbling as he exited the surf in his flippers.

Following his refreshing dip, Hugh, Oscar and Deborrah took in the stunning landscape as they sat on the shoreline.

Deborrah, 59, looked laidback in her cropped leggings and a black t-shirt, while her hunky husband added a cowboy hat to his beach look.

It sounded like the star was ready for his family holiday, tweeting earlier in the day: ‘Bring on the weekend! #TGIF’.
