Through the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet, female track and field athlete Alica Schmidt sent a challenge to Erling Haaland.

Alica Schmidt is considered the charmingest female athlete in the world. She is currently competing at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary. She helped her team reach the 4x400m medley relay final last week.

In a talk with Dagbladet, she was asked if she could beat Erling Haaland in a sprint.

Schmidt replied: “Oh, I don’t know, maybe. I think, on 400m, yes. On 200m, it would be more difficult. But I would be happy if the race takes place..” .

The interviewer continued to ask, “When.” She replied: “I don’t know, maybe I should ask him that. But I’m always available.”

Then Schmidt turned to the camera and said: “I’m always ready. So, Haaland, if you’re ready to race, I would be happy. Let’s see who’s faster!”

Schmidt wants to race with Haaland

Before that, Schmidt had a small competition with Mats Hummels in the 400m distance two years ago. After that incident, Hummels joked that he was lucky to have chosen football to play. Schmidt’s personal record to date is 52 seconds 18 at 400m.
