LIONEL MESSI has put off signing a new contract with Barcelona after going on vacation to Ibiza with club teammate Luis Suarez and Chelsea player Cesc Fabregas.
The Argentine star, 29, is taking a break after helping his country beat Brazil 1-0 in a friendly at the MCG in Melbourne, Australia, on Friday.

Messi has now opted to accompany his family to the Balearic island, where teammate Luis Suarez is also living, along with longtime Barcelona chum Fabregas and his family.
On Sunday, the three players jetted out to Ibiza to unwind and rejuvenate before what might be a watershed summer.
Fabregas was accompanied by his long-term partner Daniella Semaan and his three children, Lia, Capri, and Leonardo.
Messi, meanwhile, was joined by his soon-to-be wife Antonella Roccuzzo and their two sons, Mateo and Thiago.
