The secret to Jennifer Lopez’s “time-defying” physique is exercise. The 54-year-old beauty revealed that she works not only to look great on the red carpet but also to feel good about herself.
On March 21, Jennifer Lopez attracted attention when nude in a photo series promoting a shoe collection in collaboration with Revolve. At the age of 54, the beauty of the On The Floor singer still makes fans fall in love. Photo: Revolve
Every time she appears in public, the most common image of JLo is a hot lady in bold or see-through cuts or both. Photo: Revolve
Not only her face defies time, Jennifer’s body also defies all the most picky outfits. Not everyone can keep a toned and energetic body like the actress Shotgun Wedding when she was in her 60s. Photo: Revolve

In an interview with UsWeekly on March 22, Jennifer revealed the most important secret to help her maintain her beauty despite age and childbirth. That is exercise. Photo: Getty Images
“It’s no secret that fitness is a very important part of my life. I think there is a positive correlation between exercise and mental health. When you find a good balance through determination and focus, we naturally strive to become the best version of ourselves. Photo: IG
JLo says exercising is the first thing she does every morning, usually at 5 p.m., when it’s still dark, no matter how busy her schedule is. “I am always growing and looking for things that excite and motivate me. I don’t mind a challenge, so I’m willing to push myself. That’s what I’m doing right now while rehearsing for my new album, coming out this summer,” she said. Photo: IG
The exercises often chosen by JLo are kickboxing, circuit training, core muscles, lunges and burpees. Photo: IG
Along with that, the mother of two children chooses suitable food. She prioritizes sugar-free, low-calorie foods and drinks that contain electrolytes, antioxidants, potassium, and natural sources. Besides, the diet must help her replenish energy after intense training, performance or all day moving. Photo: IG
“There was a time in my life when I used to sleep three to five hours a night. I would be in the studio all day, in the studio all night, doing miscellaneous things and shooting videos on the weekends. I’m in my late 20s and I think I’m invincible. Until one day, while I was sitting in a car, all the work and stress it brought, along with not getting enough restorative sleep, took hold of me. I think I’ve lost my mind. Now I know it’s a common burnout crisis. After consulting with my doctor, I realized how dire the consequences could be if I ignored what my body and mind needed to stay healthy. That’s when my journey to health began,” she explained why she couldn’t skip exercise.
